Today in our speech/debate practice discussions, the mention of doing something “out of your comfort zone” came up.
What is your comfort zone?
Well it’s when you feel normal and do things you know you can do well.
However sometimes you gotta do something daring and change it up. When making a speech sometimes you have to talk about things you aren’t used to talking about.
What do you like to talk about with your friends? Music? Sports? Food? Dancing?
What are you not comfortable talking about? Politics? War? Taxes? Death? Not many people are used to discussing such topics openly.
It’s sometimes good to be able to talk about all sorts of topics with anyone, anywhere.
