Finding the perfect YouTube video

I usually encourage my students to practice their English listening by watching some American shows on youtube.  In Japan, most TV shows are all the same.  There’s a panel of people talking about some random topic or a group of people walking around and trying new restaurants.  It gets monotonous after a while.

But the beauty of TV in the USA, there are usually shows about anything and everything.

They have shows about cooking:

Hell’s Kitchen

Rebuilding cars:

Pimp My Ride

Video Games:

The Angry Video Game Nerd

Gardening:

HGTV

Sports:

30 for 30

Animals:

Animal Planet for Kids

Family Shows:

Full House (clips)

You name it, and they probably have it.  So to practice your listening skills, try watching a show that interests you sometime.  Or every night if you can.   It is a great way to hear native English speakers talk, without leaving your home!
